WILLOUGHBY HOUSE
The aim of the project was to celebrate the traditional elements of the property and blend these seamlessly with a modern addition at the back to comfortably accommodate the household. GWA meticulously restored the home’s frontage in homage to the intricate Federation-era architecture and character. At the back we started from scratch, removing the previous interventions and creating a fresh addition to carve out the generous space needed for this significant family home. The interior design is calming and fresh with elements of colour and many careful considerations to make family life flow smoothly - two living rooms, a home office, sleek storage solutions in every room and a ‘parents retreat’ with ensuite bathroom and walk-in robe. A large landscaped courtyard completes the home, bringing the outside in and providing a backdrop for family gatherings and relaxed weekends with a pizza oven, outdoor dining area and swimming pool.
